My Fair Lady

Location: London Coliseum

London’s theatre scene is back in full swing this year, and what better way to celebrate than by singing along to the songs of ‘My Fair Lady’? Directed by Bartlett Sher, this wonderful musical follows the story of Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins as Higgins tries to transform Eliza into a ‘proper lady’.

Get ready for classic songs, including ‘I Could Have Danced All Night’ and ‘Get Me to the Church On Time’. ‘My Fair Lady’ is the first big West End revival of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe’s production for 21 years – you don’t want to miss it!

Straight Line Crazy

Date: Monday 14th March until Monday 18th June 2022

Location: Bridge Theatre

Are you a fan of Ralph Fiennes’s work? Come and watch this talented actor perform in the thrilling theatre production ‘Straight Line Crazy’. This exciting play looks at how the streets of New York dramatically transformed after the 20th century. It follows the journey of Robert Moses, a public official who worked as the chairman of the New York State Council of Parks for around 40 years.

During his career, Moses built some 658 playgrounds, 13 bridges and 11 pools. ‘Straight Line Crazy’ explores the impact of the shifting New York City skyline on locals at the time.

To Kill a Mockingbird

Date: Open from Thursday 10th March 2022

Location: Gielgud Theatre

This year, come and watch the magnificent adaptation of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. Written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Bartlett Sher, this brilliant play follows the journey of a man unjustly accused of a terrible crime. Set in Maycomb, Alabama, in 1934, ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ explores themes such as childhood innocence and racial injustice amidst a portrait of small-town America.

See key characters brought to life on stage, such as Atticus Finch and Boo Radley. This is a truly unmissable production – especially if you’re a huge fan of the novel.

Oklahoma!

Date: Wednesday 27th April until Saturday 25th June 2022

Location: Young Vic

Come and see Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein's ‘Oklahoma!’ (1943) as you’ve never seen it before. Directed by Daniel Fish and Jordan Fein, this incredible musical has been reimagined and reshaped for the 21st century. It follows the story of farm girl Laurey’s whirlwind romances with different suitors, and explores the theme of Oklahoma’s efforts to become a state.

Set in 1906, ‘Oklahoma!’ also examines the tension between the needs of farmers and cattlemen, which was prevalent at that time. It’s been more than 75 years since Rogers and Hammerstein’s famous production hit Broadway, so now is the perfect time to go and see it in London!

Grease The Musical

Date: Tuesday 3rd May until Saturday 29th October 2022

Location: Dominion Theatre

Sing along to all your favourite songs at ‘Grease The Musical’, coming to Dominion Theatre this year! One of the world’s most popular musicals, ‘Grease The Musical’, directed by Nikolai Foster, follows the story of Danny and Sandy, who are unexpectedly reunited after a whirlwind summer romance. ‘Grease’ is one of the world’s most popular musicals, and Foster’s production is sure to be a big hit.

The musical will be filled with everyone’s favourite songs, such as ‘Summer Nights’ and ‘Grease Lightin’’. Peter Andre will also star in a handful of shows, playing the role of Vince Fontaine.

The Glass Menagerie

Date: Monday 23rd May until Saturday 27th August 2022

Location: Duke of York’s Theatre

This year, six-time Academy Award nominee Amy Adams will make her debut in ‘The Glass Menagerie’. Directed by Jeremy Herrin, this ambitious new production is based on Tennessee Williams’s 1944 play.

‘The Glass Menagerie’ tells the story of a son, Tom, recalling his mother’s life as a polio sufferer and her unrelenting persistence to find her daughter a partner. It is a four-character semi-autobiographical play, building on details from Williams’s own life. Actors Paul Hilton and Tom Glynn-Carney will share the role of Tom.
