Galway Cathedral is well worth a visit during your stay at our city centre hotel. The cathedral is magnificently built with stunning architecture that includes some renaissance detailing combined with Romanesque and Gothic traditions. The building was constructed in the 1950s making it the youngest of Europe’s great stone cathedrals -most buildings of the time were constructed of concrete. Galway Cathedral also boasts an impressive collection of art and a striking interior, located picturesquely along the River Corrib.
