Our Oxford Hotel

Situated on Godstow Road, our four star hotel in Oxford is close to the picturesque city centre and a myriad of local attractions. Oxford is steeped in history with 1,500 listed buildings oozing the city’s heritage and offering striking architectural gems to explore. There are many tours available to experience the city, but if you prefer to create your own itinerary, a visit to Oxford University is a ‘must-see’.

The city is also home to a number of parks and meadows, Port Meadow sits alongside the River Thames and is ideal for a country walk. For those keen to explore further afield, Blenheim Palace, Didcot Railway Centre and Bicester Shopping Village are just short drives from Jurys Inn Oxford.

Our Medio Brasserie offers a mouth-watering menu, the Medio Bar can rustle up fruity cocktails and more, or you can enjoy a light bite at the Cappuccino Lounge – take a look at our menus and opening times.

Oxford City Centre

Oxford University Museum of Natural History

Housed in an impressive example of neo-Gothic architecture, The Oxford University Museum of Natural History offers a range of interesting collections and exhibitions to explore. Famous for the Oxfordshire dinosaurs, the Dodo, and the swifts in the Tower, there is plenty to see and do as you peruse the Life Collections and Earth Collections. The museum also runs a range of events and workshops, take a look at What’s On to plan a visit.

Admission is free to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, which is a short twenty-minute bus ride from Jurys Inn.

Oxford Castle

Take the guided tour and discover the 1,000 year history of Oxford Castle, learning its fascinating past, from people to events. The tour is led by costumed character guides and includes a visit to the Saxon St George’s Tower, which is not only one of the oldest buildings in Oxford, but affords 360 degree views of the beautiful and historic city below. The tour also takes you to the 900 year old underground crypt, Debtors’ Tower, and Prison D-Wing.

The castle is open daily from 10am and can only be explored by guided tour. Oxford Castle is a short twenty-minute bus ride from Jurys Inn Oxford.
