The SeaCity Museum in Southampton offers a fantastic day out to discover the city’s rich trading history as well as a unique insight into the RMS Titanic, whose tragic journey began from Southampton.
The museum is also home to maritime and local collections as well as an art gallery renowned for their permanent collection. The museum runs interactive activities for the whole family (booking is often required) from Intriguing Egyptians to Fairy Tales and Folklore.
The museum is open 7 days a week 10am to 5pm with admission costing £6 for adults and £4.50 for children aged 5-16. A family ticket offers fantastic value at £18 for two adults and three children. The SeaCity Museum is just a short 9 minute walk from Jurys Inn Southampton.
Re-opening in 2011 after a long period of renovation, Southampton’s first ever museum is back in business. The Tudor House and Garden reveals over 800 years of history, spanning over many different generations. Housing various exhibitions and artefacts from The Southampton Book of Hours to the Penny Farthing, The Tudor House and Garden offers an atmospheric experience bursting with history and excitement.
The museum is open Monday to Sunday 10am -5pm with admission prices of £4.75 for adults and £3.75 for children with under 5’s going free. The Tudor House and Garden museum is close to our hotel, offering a leisurely 20 minute walk from Jurys Inn Southampton.

Opening times depend on the time of year and date but the park hours a roughly between 10.30am and 5.30pm.
