Parking Information

Car parking is available close to the hotel at: 

The Barcode Car Park (entrance located on 11 Bretonside, PL4 0FE). This is a secure car park, The hotel does not offer a discount for hotel guests at this car park. There are 400 spaces with 5 electric car charging points, guests can pay on exit, inside the car park

Opening hours are:

Sunday - Thursday: 07:30 - 01.15
Friday - Saturday: 07:30 - 03:00

Up to 2 hours: £2.80
2-3 hours: £4.00
3-4 hours: £5.00
4-5 hours: £6.00

The Britannia Charles Cross Car Park located adjacent to Leonardo Hotel Plymouth on Exeter Street (PL40AZ) with a secondary site behind the hotel with access to both the Car Park and the Hotel from Bilbury Street (PL40BH). A 24 hour rate is available at the hotel reception where you can register your car for 24 hours for £10

Please note Car Park is locked overnight from 11pm with no access and reopens at 6:30am Monday – Saturday and Sunday 8:30am . Please contact reception for an alternative space if requiring an early departure. 

How to Pay

  2. Should you not wish you avail of a 24hour rate at hotel reception than a hourly rate can be purchased from the Pay & Display machines in car park (machines accept coins & cards)
  3. By phone, call 01202 916 916. Please quote location code 79070.
  4. By Texting “Reg” followed by a space and your number plate to 65565. You will be called back to complete registration, please quote location code 79070.
  5. Use Apps and mobile web at: www.paybyphone.co.uk

From the M5 go straight ahead on to the A38. Remain on the A38 for around 40 miles until you reach the Marsh Mills roundabout. At the roundabout take the 1st exit on to the A374, sign posted City Centre. Follow the signs for the City Centre until you reach the roundabout with the bombed out church, which is a World War 2 memorial. Leonardo Hotel Plymouth is now on your left. To enter the Charles Cross car park turn left as soon as you move on to the roundabout and go underneath Gala Bingo or to go to Drake Circus take the 2nd exit and follow the signs.

Fares are inexpensive and both bus and rail travel are easily accessible from the hotel.

The nearest bus stops to Leonardo Hotel Plymouth are:

  • Main Bus Station, adjacent to hotel, with city, regional and national services.
  • Exeter Street (1 min walk, turn left out of hotel), number of local services operating from the viaduct above the bus station.
  • Exeter Street (just on right outside hotel front doors), number of local services including Park and Ride to Coypool.
Fresh Air, Fitness and Fun! Cycling is the new way to get around. The hotel has secure parking for cycles, on request and cycles can also be hired locally. For secure cycle parking or cycle hire details please contact the hotel.
A regular ferry service provided by Brittany Ferries operates from Millbay, Plymouth taking cars and foot passengers directly to Roscoff, Brittany and Santander, Spain.
From airport, follow signs for A30 (signposted Exeter). Merge onto the A30 (signposted Exeter). Join the M5 motorway (signposted Plymouth, Torquay, Okehampton).  At end of M5 (Junction 31), continue forward onto the A38 (signposted Torquay, Plymouth). When A38 splits, take right hand lanes to keep forward and ascend (signposted Plymouth) onto The Devon Expressway.  Approaching Plymouth, at Marsh Mills branch left (signposted Plymouth), then at Marsh Mills Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Plymouth Road - A374 (signposted City Centre).

Continue forward onto Plymouth Road - A374, Entering Plymouth. Keep in left hand lane and bear left A374 (one-way) (signposted City Centre). At Cattedown roundabout take the 1st exit onto Exeter Street - A374 (signposted City Centre).

Our hotel is located on your left.
When walking from the train station turn left on to Saltash Road. At North Cross roundabout take the second exit on to Cobourg Street and follow the road until you reach Drake Circus Shopping Centre. Leonardo Hotel Plymouth is now immediately in front of you on the other side of the roundabout.
During your stay in Plymouth you might want to go exploring for a day or two. The city isn't far from Dartmoor National Park and it's definitely worth the trip out there if you've got the time. The moors have a huge amount of history and you can find out more about Darmoor walks on this site.
