Coronavirus infectious disease (COVID-19)

Following announcements from the UK and Irish governments, Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels in the United Kingdom reopened from the 4th July. Jurys Inn hotels in the Republic of Ireland reopened on the 29th June.

We will continue to update the information on this page to ensure we keep our guests up to date with changes across the group.

The team at Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels look forward to welcoming our guests back to our hotels sometime soon.

Leonardo Inn Glasgow West End: Leonardo Inn Glasgow West End will close from 06/11/2020 to 02/01/2021 inclusive.

Jurys Inn Belfast: Following new government guidelines Jurys Inn Belfast will be closed from 20/10/2020 to 13/11/2020

Jurys Inn Cardiff: Following new government guidelines Jurys Inn Cardiff will be closed from 23/10/2020 to 09/11/2020.

Jurys Inn Cork: Following government guidelines Jurys Inn Cork is open to guests who are required to support the provision of essential services from the 21st October for a period of 6 weeks. Guests may be asked at check in to provide documentation that supports their status as a provider of an essential service. Therefore we ask all guests to please ensure they have this documentation available.

Jurys Inn Dublin Christchurch: Following government guidelines Jurys Inn Dublin Christchurch will close from 21/10/2020 for a period of 6 weeks.

Jurys Inn Dublin Parnell Street: Following government guidelines Jurys Inn Dublin Parnell Street is open to guests who are required to support the provision of essential services from the 21st October for a period of 6 weeks. Guests may be asked at check in to provide documentation that supports their status as a provider of an essential service. Therefore we ask all guests to please ensure they have this documentation available.

What happens to my booking?

If you have paid for a booking that was cancelled due to hotel closure:
If you booked directly with us via our Contact Centres or JurysInns.com or Leonardohotels.co.uk, you will receive a refund from us. Due to the COVID-19 crisis your refund will take up to 90 days from date of cancellation. Otherwise you will need to contact the 3rd party you booked with to process your refund.

If you have not paid for a booking that has now been cancelled due to hotel closure:
Your reservation is cancelled, you will not be charged and no further action is required.

At Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels, our priority as always is the health and wellbeing of all our teams, their families and our guests. We are closely monitoring and reviewing the advice issued by national health organisations, as well as the World Health Organisation and we are taking all appropriate actions and precautionary measures within our hotels and across all of our operating offices.

Flexible bookings

We want to reassure all guests and visitors to our many hotels that the quality, service and safety measures we’ve put in place are to the highest standards. However, to further support guests during this uncertain period, we are providing the following flexible booking options:

If you booked directly with us via our Contact Centres, jurysinns.com or leonardohotels.co.uk, you will automatically receive a refund from us. We are working through reservations systematically, due to the volume as a result of the COVID-19 crisis your refund may take up to 90 days from the cancellation date.

If your booking was made through Booking.com or Expedia, your booking will be automatically cancelled and your refund will be processed 90 days upon our receipt of the cancellation.

If you have not received your refund 90 days after your cancellation please email reservations@jurysinns.com or reservations@leonardohotels.co.uk

If your booking was via another 3rd party, please contact them directly to process your refund.

Can be cancelled or amended by booking our flexible options:

Semi Flexible rate - offers a discount on our Flexible Booking rate and allows you to make any changes or cancel you booking up to 48 hours the before your arrival day.

Flexible Booking rate – allows you to make any changes or cancel your booking up to 3pm the day before your arrival day.

If you do have to cancel your booking, and you booked directly with us via our Contact Centres, jurysinns.com or leonardohotels.co.uk, please email reservations@jurysinns.com and we will endeavour to respond within 72 hours.

If you booked through a third party, e.g. Booking.com, please contact the third party directly.

In hotel payments

In the interest of your safety and that of our staff, we cannot accept cash payments at this time. We kindly request the use of credit cards and contactless payment only during your stay. With many thanks for your cooperation


Advice to Guests and Employees

If you've become ill in our hotel or feel you may have been in close contact with someone with confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19):

      1. Call reception immediately. Our reception team will contact the Local Health Authorities on your behalf. If you call the Local Health Authorities yourself, please advise our reception team immediately.
      2. Stay in your hotel room.
      3. Avoid contact with other guests or employees.


The symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

      • a cough
      • a high temperature
      • shortness of breath


World Health Organization definition of a close contact:

      • Any individual who has had greater than 15 minutes face-to-face (<2 metres Distance)  with a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19)
      • Household contacts defined as living or sleeping in the same home, individuals in shared accommodation sharing kitchen or bathroom facilities.

      • England, Northern Ireland, Scotland & Wales - Please visit the NHS website for the latest information and contact details in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19). 
      • Republic of Ireland - Please visit the HSE website for the latest information and contact details in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19).
