Exhibition: PRONOUNced

When: 30th July to 28th August 2022

Time: Wednesday – Sunday, 11:00 – 17:00

Where: Phoenix Art Space, 10-14 Waterloo Place

This summer, Brighton’s Phoenix Art Space will host Exhibition: PRONOUNced, a fascinating collection of work by international artists. This exhibition features everything from experimental installations to incredible graphic designs, focusing on the concept of unheard voices from across the globe. It examines untold stories from those who are marginalised based on gender, identity and appearance.

This is a truly thought-provoking exhibition and one of Brighton’s top events in August. Entry is free for all.

 

Mamma Mia! at the Brighton Centre

When: 16th to 21st August 2022

Time: Matinée – doors open at 13:30. Show starts at 14:30 (15:00 on Sundays). Evening – doors open at 18:30. Show starts at 19:30

Where: The Brighton Centre, Kings Road

This August, for one week only, the Mamma Mia! tour will be coming to the Brighton Centre. Book your tickets now and enjoy the most exciting smash-hit musical in Brighton.

The Magic of the Beatles

When: 21st August 2022

Where: Theatre Royal Brighton, New Road

Are you a fan of the Beatles? Come and enjoy The Magic of the Beatles this summer, a sensational tribute show live at Theatre Royal Brighton. The band features a brilliant cast with appearances very similar to those of the original Beatles members, and the same excitement that became the group’s trademark.

Sing along to classic Beatles songs, such as ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Here Comes the Sun’, and ‘I Feel Fine’ at this unforgettable show. Be transported back to the golden era of pop and enjoy an evening of fantastic music.

Spice Girls Inspired Bottomless Brunch

Where: Pier Nine, 9 Grand Junction Road

This September, head to Brighton’s Pier Nine to enjoy an afternoon of bottomless drinks and non-stop Spice Girls hits. This amazing event is perfect for Spice Girls super fans, promising three hours of all the greatest songs by the iconic girl group, alongside a selection of 80s, 90s and 00s tunes.

Choose from a range of delicious brunch dishes and enjoy an hour of bottomless drinks, such as Prosecco or Buck’s Fizz. Dressing up is encouraged, so get ready to transform into your favourite Spice Girl, whether that’s Baby, Posh, Sporty, Ginger or Scary Spice.

Pub in the Park

Where: Preston Park, Preston Road  

Searching for the best Brighton summer festivals? Pub in the Park is the UK’s biggest food and music festival tour, and this year it’s making its debut in Brighton’s Preston Park. This unique event celebrates everything to do with the Great British pub, from delicious food to excellent music.

Head to one of the pop-up restaurants around the park and sample tasty cuisine by Michelin-starred chefs. Or visit the Chef Demo stage and learn how to make lovely new recipes at home. You can also expect a lineup of fabulous music acts, including The Human League, Melanie C and Basement Jaxx.

 An Evening of Comedy

Where: Concert Hall – Brighton Dome, Church Street

Come and enjoy a wonderful evening of comedy at the Brighton Dome this September. The lineup includes a variety of talented comedians, including Angela Barnes, Carl Donnelly, Joe Foster and Kerry Godliman, all of whom will provide plenty of laughs throughout the night. Get your friends together and enjoy a few hours of entertainment.
