There is a few festivals coming up in Bradford, Out of the Ordinary festival in September and also the highly anticipated and highly popular Brighton Comedy Festival is coming soon, and the event is sure to be every bit as entertaining as in past years. The city of Brighton has long been a slice of paradise along the southern coast of the United Kingdom, serving as a worthwhile vacation destination and, once per year, hosting some of the world's funniest comedians and comic acts.

The 2011 version will take place from October 7th to the 22nd. Over the course of the two weeks, more than 40 acts will take to the stages to entertain the masses. As is always the case, the lineup features a number of performers that Brighton Comedy Festival audiences have grown to love, as well as a few new faces that are sure to earn their spot on the nation's comedy radar.

Regular pop comedy duo Frisky & Mannish kicks off the action with a performance on Friday, October 7th. Their multi-faceted form of entertainment provides a scathing review of the entertainment business as well as an irreverent look at modern society.

Many experts from the UK regard Jeremy Hardy as a comic genius, and a two-hour show that takes centre stage on the evening of Tuesday, October 11th is a testament to just that. Hardy's dry wit and stinging social observations have been the source of uncontrollable laughter since he opted to embark on a career in comedy early into the 1980s.

Last year's Brighton Comedy Festival sold out, and a huge contributor to that fact is up-and-coming comedian Seann Walsh. Walsh is being touted as one of the single greatest comedic acts to come out of the UK in recent years. Be sure to get your hands on tickets for his Saturday, October 22nd show, which will close out the 2011 Brighton Comedy Festival.

Three venues inside of the historic Brighton Dome, which borders Church Street to the south, will host the large event. The historic local is less than an hour long train ride from the heart of London. Tickets are on sale now but are going quickly.
