For a city attraction with a difference, ‘Little Germany’ is the perfect place to explore. Bradford dates back to Saxon times and over the centuries grew into a city, and by the middle of the 19th Century had become the wool capital of the world.
As the city expanded, new buildings were built and the city has a plethora of stunning Victorian buildings throughout. However, a small section of the city, Little Germany, was adopted by German Merchants in the late 1850s which then formed a little pocket of 85 beautifully unique buildings of which 55 are listed.
Only a 15 minute walk from Jurys Inn Bradford, Little Germany is located next door to Bradford Cathedral and well worth a jaunt if you are headed up to the Cathedral.
