Located a little further out of the city centre on Stacey Hill Farm, the Milton Keynes Museum is a great day out for those keen to learn more about the city’s history and heritage. From the farm to transport to the Edwardian kitchen, this museum will take you on a journey through time ensuring a rounded and in-depth view of the rich heritage that Milton Keynes has to offer.
The Museum is open roughly between 11am and 4.30pm Wednesday – Sunday with admission costing £7.50 for adults and £6 for children, or a family ticket (2 adults and up to 4 children) at £22.
Gulliver’s Land is a fantastic day out for all the family with three parks on offer depending on your mood and weather!
The SplashZone is perfect for rainy days with many slides, streams, spouts and spinners to keep the tears away. Tickets cost £5.95 for children over 90cm and £3.95 for children under, and £2.50 for adults. Opening times vary depending on the date.
For warmer rain free days Gulliver’s Theme Park is a great day for all ages offering something to entertain everyone. With Lilliput Land’s teacups and ‘Music express’ ideal for younger children and Adventure Land’s Python and larger rides tailored for older visitors, Gulliver’s is well equipped to keep everyone happy.
Theme Park admission costs £15.95 per person but with children under 90cm going in for free. Park and SplashZone combi- tickets are available, costing £18.95 for children, £17.95 for adults and £3.95 for children under 90cm.Opening times are dependent on date and time of year but vary between 10.30am and 4.30-5.30pm.
If adventure parks aren’t quite what you are looking for, Gulliver’s also offers a Dinosaur and Farm Park which is perfect for a day of discovery from Dino-spotting and the Jurassic river to farmyard fun. Admission costs £8.95 per person; however, the Park is now closed until spring 2014.
