The 2016 England summer tennis season is well and truly here! With lots of British talent as well as international stars competing across the country, there are plenty of opportunities to see your heroes in action.

A list of fixtures is available on the BBC Sport Tennis Calendar and if you’re staying with Jurys Inn hotels during the tennis action, here’s some info on the venues:

Nottingham Tennis Centre

The Nottingham Tennis Centre proudly hosts the Aegon Open Nottingham 2015 Women’s WTA from Saturday 4th – Sunday 12th June 2016 and the Men’s ATP Tournaments from Saturday 18th – Saturday 25th June 2016.  This year sees action from British No. 3 and Aegon GB Davis Cup player Kyle Edmund. Davis cup hero James Ward will also be taking to the court. The Nottingham Tennis Centre is a 10 minute drive from Jurys Inn Nottingham or 20 minutes by public transport.

Bank of England Sports Ground

Located in Roehampton, this impressive sports ground is a cricket and tennis stadium. You can get warmed up for Wimbledon here with the Wimbledon qualifying rounds taking place between Monday 20th until Thursday 23rd June 2016. The Bank of England Sports Ground is 50 minutes by public transport or 50 minute drive from Jurys Inn Croydon.

The biggest tennis event of the year takes place annually at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club in Wimbledon. The first championships took place here in 1877 and since then all the tennis greats have played in these majestic grounds. This year the action takes place between 27th June and 10th July 2016. While some lucky fans will have gained their ballot tickets, swarms of fans travel to the grounds early each morning of the tournament and queue for hours in the hopes of getting a ticket to sit on the hill, enjoy the Wimbledon strawberries and watch the action on the big screens. Public transport will be your best option as parking would be difficult during the tournament. Jurys Inn Croydon is located approximately 45 – 50 minutes from the stadium by public transport.
