1st December 2011: Irish hotel group, Jurys Inn, has added its support to the Depaul Ireland Blanket Appeal, which aims to inspire the public to support those without a home this Christmas. The three Dublin-based Jurys Inn hotels (Christchurch, Parnell Street and Custom House) are offering guests the option to make a €1 donation online at www.jurysinns.com as part of each booking throughout December. Each donation will be matched by Jurys Inn with all funds raised going directly to the Depaul Ireland Blanket Appeal.
This clever mechanic couldn’t be easier and Jurys Inn is hoping to raise much needed support for the worthy cause this Christmas. Depaul Ireland is marking its tenth year tackling the crucial issue of homelessness in Ireland and the charity manages 15 services throughout Dublin and Belfast; providing over 130,000 bed nights each year and a support network for people in need day and night. The initiative is gaining support from various sectors of society, including the music industry with Snow Patrol lead singer Gary Lightbody lending his weight to the initiative during his recent visit home to Belfast for the MTV Music Awards.
Jurys Inn Group Marketing Manager Suzanne Cannon commented, “The issue of homelessness is a critical one, particularly at this time of year, and we are delighted to support the Blanket Appeal and the work being done by Depaul Ireland. Every euro counts and we are hoping that the donations from both Jurys Inn and its customers will make a real difference to people affected by homelessness.”
So if you are booking a room at one of the Dublin Jurys Inn hotels on www.jurysinns.com this December, then make sure to click the €1 donation option and support a great cause. Donation boxes have also been placed at the Jurys Inn Dublin hotel receptions and bars for those who want to drop in and help out!
