New Year, New Look for Jurys Inn

Exceptional Everyday City Hotels – That’s Jurys Inn Everytime

On the back of seven new hotel openings in 2009, Jurys Inn is set to invest £9 million in 2010 on updating and expanding existing hotels in support of the hotel group’s brand new classification launching this week – Exceptional Everyday City Hotels.This new classification, launching on the revamped Jurys Inn website, spells out what existing guests already know about the hotel group, it strives to make exceptional, its everyday.

As part of the new look, the hotel group has revealed a new logo which incorporates warm tones in line with its warm service. Jurys Inn will begin using its classification and colours on all new collateral and, over time, will replace everything from menus, in-room guides, stationery, uniforms and much more with the new look and feel.

Over the next two years, Jurys Inn will make further investments in new hotel openings and investigate opportunities for growth in the London market. New hotels will open in Bradford and Portsmouth this year and in Gateshead and Glasgow in 2011. In addition, Jurys Inn Islington will be expanded with 150 new rooms to meet the demand at the hotel which currently runs at 90% occupancy.

Although Jurys Inn is technically classified as a 3 star hotel group, guests don’t put it in that category. This reflects a combination of its 4 star facilities, such as large welcoming reception areas, a separate bar and restaurant, and also consistent delivery of warm and friendly service. This has bagged the hotel group countless awards including Best Independent Hotel Brand 2010, Most Improved Business Brand 2009 and the UK’s Greenest Hotel Group. In fact, Jurys Inn has already built a reputation for making the everyday exceptional - with 84% of guests agreeing that they would stay at one of its hotels again.

The new look website will support the increase in bookings being made directly through Positive reviews on websites such as TripAdvisor have contributed to this success for the hotel group. Jurys Inn’s new hotel in Derby has already claimed the #1 spot on TripAdvisor for best hotel in town and, on average, 90% of guests who stay at the new Jurys Inn hotels such as Aberdeen, Exeter, Swindon, Sheffield, Watford and Prague would recommend a stay to fellow travellers on TripAdvisor. is integrated with Jurys Inn’s Facebook ( and Twitter ( pages which the hotel uses to tell customers about special offers, hear and respond to guests’ feedback and let people know what’s happening at their local Jurys Inn. The website is also designed for easier navigation so customers can quickly find the Jurys Inn they are looking for via Google Maps and sign-up to the hotel group’s eZine through a registration process which only requires an email address.
