Jurys Inn Birmingham’s refurbishment programme is now complete following a sixteen month £4.7m makeover at the Broad Street hotel. The 445 bedroom hotel, the largest in Birmingham city centre, has seen all bedrooms, all 20 meeting rooms and all public areas refurbished with the addition of a stylish new contemporary restaurant and bar.
Jurys Inn Birmingham’s new bar and restaurant, ‘The Grill on Broad Street’ boasts an open theatre kitchen, plush velvet seating and a sophisticated atmosphere. Focusing on grill-based dining with an array of mouth-watering dishes to choose from, including juicy steaks to fresh salmon, ‘The Grill on Broad Street’ offers affordable dining within a stylish, contemporary setting. The bar and restaurant areas have been re-designed to provide guests with warmer spaces with voile partitions that afford a more intimate atmosphere and key design features include local art installations, unique glass sculptures and chandeliers made from green wine bottles.
Contemporary, comfortable bedrooms with crisp white linens, now boast darker wood furnishings, warmer fabrics and new large comfortable armchairs. All twin rooms have two double beds and now a selection of rooms have super king beds all of which contribute to a more relaxed experience.
The rooms all have adjustable heating and air conditioning, as well as flat screen TV’s and Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Guests can also chose to upgrade to a Superior Room package which includes complimentary internet access; early check-in from 12 noon; iron and ironing board in rooms; complimentary national newspaper; complimentary still and sparkling water as well as 10% discount off all food in the hotel’s restaurant and bar.

The Birmingham upgrade comes as part of a wider refurbishment programme across the Jurys Inn group with over 1005 bedrooms and public areas having already received a complete makeover in 2012. Jurys Inn has earmarked a total spend of £25 million for projects through 2012 and up to the end of 2014 as part of an on-going refurbishment programme, which has also seen a number of hotels refurbished in 2011. The overall investment focuses primarily on refurbishments however, it also includes some IT and systems spend which will provide guests with improved comfort and facilities.
