Email a Friend

Milton Keynes is a relatively new town in the UK – in fact, it was formally made into a ‘new town’ in 1967. Things have changed a lot in the last 50 odd years, including food! Cultures and cuisines have crossed, quiet dining has turned to chow-clubbing, and ingredients aren’t always what they seem. Give some 21st century culinary creations a go with the Jurys Inn Guide to… Milton Keynes restaurants with a twist!

Wrapchic

Wrapchic

Combining the flavourful cuisines of India and Mexico, Wrapchic on Midsummer Boulevard offers diners a unique eating experience. With a choice of bases from burritos and bowls to wraps and their signature ‘Wrapchos’, diners get a taste of classic south-Asian dishes like Chicken Rajasthani or Mutton Madrasi in a new and original way.

If you fancy a fiery start to the morning, Wrapchic also has a breakfast menu serving up ‘Wraplettes’ and quesadillas alongside an ‘Indian inspired’ bakery. You can also take home a selection of wraps and salads, as well as a traditional yoghurt drink called lassi – perfect for washing down the spicier dishes!

Las Iguanas

Las Iguanas in Mortimer Square brings the flavours of Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Mediterranean to Milton Keynes in an inspiring mix of food and fun. Offering a variety of dishes from rum-glazed pork ribs to rich and smoky chilli con carne and plenty in between, Las Iguanas is the perfect place to test your palette with expertly cooked grub.

However the food isn’t the only attraction – the restaurant also has a diverse selection of drinks, like the fruity Mango Collins or the new King Colada. Fridays at Las Iguanas promise a night to remember with two-for-one cocktails and a live Latin DJ, bringing a vibrant atmosphere to dinner time!

Veggie World

Bletchley’s Veggie World offers a colourful and flavourful experience in Chinese cuisine, with one twist – every single item is vegetarian, from the butterfly veggie prawn starter to the sizzling veggie steak main! Using clever combinations of vegetables, soya protein, tofu, and a number of other ingredients, the restaurant serves up classics from spring rolls and won tons to (veggie) meats with 14 varieties of sauce.

If you’re hankering for the taste but you can’t make it in, Veggie World also have an online shopwhere you can find vegetarian products like vegetarian Kimchi, veggie grilled bacon, and their award-winning veggie prawns.

Bistro Live

Bistro Live

A night of dining and dancing awaits visitors to Bistro Live, a restaurant-come-party venue on Midsummer Boulevard where you’ll find food, drinks, and all the live music you need for a great night out! The restaurant offers three seasonal menus, with dishes varying from the light and boozy fruit medley to the rich but mild beef Jalfrezi curry.

If you’re down on a Friday, be sure to stay for the weekly disco nights – try your dance moves out and add a twist to your dining experience! Musical munchers will also love the live music performances every Saturday, featuring covers of timeless classics by Take That, Queen, and plenty more!

Nonna's

Nonna’s Brasserie in Woburn Sands serves up authentic Italian and Maltese cuisine in a relaxed café-style setting that transports you right into the Mediterranean. Serving up classics like calamari and lasagne as well as seasonal dishes such as stuffed pork tenderloins or rib-eye linguini, the restaurant is the place to go for a genuine Italian experience.

Nonna’s also provides an array of dessert including tiramisu and Italian ice cream, as well as dessert wines and after dinner cocktails. Take the opportunity to dine in a distinct atmosphere on Wednesdays with Music and Tapas nights, or sit down for a classy Monday evening for a selection of speciality wine and cheese! If you’re not in the mood for a sit down, Nonna’s also have a pizzeria and a market deli where you can pick up authentic Mediterranean food on-the-go.

If you’re in Milton Keynes, our city centre Jurys Inn hotel is close to the best local hotspots and offers a great night’s sleep.
