The Cork Jazz Festival is a jazz music festival that has been held in Cork City each year since 1978. The Cork Jazz Festival represents the largest jazz event in Ireland, with thousands of fans in attendance each year. Historically, the Cork Jazz Festival has attracted some of the biggest names in jazz, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, Dave Brubeck and Wynton Marsalis. In 2010, the Cork Jazz Festival will be taking place from October 22nd through the 25th.

Attending the Cork Jazz Festival

Unlike some music festivals that use one central concert area for all of their shows, the Cork Jazz Festival takes place at a multitude of venues around Cork City, including the Savoy, Triskel at Jurys Cork Hotel, the Firkin Crane, the Pavilion, Cyprus Avenue, Everyman Palace Theatre, and Guinness Festival Club. Tickets for each show are available separately. You can book your tickets by visiting the homepage of the appropriate venue, calling the venue or visiting in person.
