The Cork Guinness Jazz Festival is a jazz music festival that has been held in Cork City each year since 1978. The Cork Guinness Jazz Festival represents the largest jazz event in Ireland, with thousands of fans in attendance each year. Historically, the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival has attracted some of the biggest names in jazz, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Buddy Rich, Dave Brubeck and Wynton Marsalis. In 2010, the Guinness Jazz Festival will be taking place from October 22nd through the 26th.

Attending the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival

Unlike some music festivals that use one central concert area for all of their shows, the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival takes place at a multitude of venues around Cork City, including the Cork Opera House, the Savoy, Triskel at Jurys Cork Hotel, the Firkin Crane, the Pavilion, Cyprus Avenue, Everyman Palace Theatre, and Guinness Festival Club. Tickets for each show are available separately. You can book your tickets by visiting the homepage of the appropriate venue, calling the venue or visiting in person. Tickets for most shows cost between €10 and €40.

The Coronas, Booka Brass, Jerry Fish Electric Sideshow, The Boomtown Rats, Jack L and Aslan.

Other performers at the 2015 Cork Guinness Jazz Festival include Gary Numan, the Drifters, Peter King, Grace Kelly, Marcus Miller, Darius Brubeck Quartet, New Irish Jazz Orchestra, Savina Yannatou, 3G - The Guilfoyles, Umbra, RTE Contempo quartet, Gogo penguin, Phil Ware Trio and Peter Bernstein, Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld, Blackalicious and more.

All of these artists and more will be performing live at the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival.
