The 2015 Morrisons Birmingham Half Marathon, a mass sporting event that promotes healthier lifestyles and aims to help people become more active while having fun, will take place on Sunday, October 18. This race is based upon the idea that sport has the capability to inspire people to work toward a brighter future. While entrants do not have to run for any specific charity, there are officially suggested charities you may run for to raise awareness and money. While you may run for any charity you like if you choose to do so, the official charities are as follows:
Sue Ryder, The Bobby Moore Fund, Birmingham St Mary's Hospice, Cure Leukaemia, Macmillan Cancer Support, Birmingham Children's Hospital, Children with Cancer UK, Acorns Children's Hospice, Cancer Research Uk, Alzheimer's Society, Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children, Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children, CLIC Sargent, The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research & Diabetes UK.
