At The SeaCity Museum you’ll find out more about the city’s maritime past, as well as a unique insight into the ill-fated voyage of the Titanic, whose journey began in the port of Southampton. The museum is also home to an art gallery, and is just 9 minutes away from our Southampton hotel on foot.

Southampton Tudor House and Garden
After reopening in 2011 after a long period of renovation, Southampton’s first ever museum is a must-visit on your trip to the city. The Tudor House and Garden reveals over 800 years of history, with artefacts including The Southampton Book of Hours and the Penny Farthing.
We recommend: taking a guided walk through the Old Town after your visit to the Tudor House
Home to an impressive array of aircraft including fighter jets and early aeroplanes, the Solent Sky Museum is a great place to take anyone interested in the history of flight. There’s even an exhibit exploring space travel, perfect for astronaut enthusiasts and children.

Located a short drive away from Southampton, Paultons Park is a popular theme park with families of all ages. Home to Peppa Pig World, younger children will love meeting their favourite characters and riding on the smaller rides, while older kids and adults can explore the main park.

Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre
Located on Southampton Common, the Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is a sensitive environment and only open for limited hours, so make sure you check opening times before you visit.
