If you’re visiting Plymouth with children, they’ll love visiting the National Marine Aquarium. See the sharks, walk through the underwater tunnel, and take part in the brilliant feeding sessions for an unforgettable family day out.
We recommend: going along to the ‘Octofactor’ show, featuring in the aquarium’s resident giant octopus.
To really appreciate the natural beauty of Plymouth, a visit to Plymouth Sound is a must. Take a walk along the coast, starting at Andurn Point and heading towards Mount Batten Point, and don’t forget to take a camera.
We recommend: looking out for the red and green coloured sandstone rocks.
Located on Plymouth Hoe overlooking the water, the red and white striped Smeaton’s Tower is a lighthouse that’s open to visitors. Climb up the steep steps and ladders into the lantern room for views across the Sound and the city.
