Oxford University Museum of Natural History
Housed in an impressive example of neo-Gothic architecture, The Oxford University Museum of Natural History has a range of interesting collections and exhibitions to explore. Famous for the Oxfordshire dinosaurs, the Dodo, and the swifts in the Tower, there is plenty to see and do as you peruse the Life Collections and Earth Collections. Admission is free to the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, which is a short twenty-minute bus ride from Jurys Inn Oxford Hotel and Conference Venue.
Take the guided tour and discover the 1,000-year history of Oxford Castle. The tour is led by costumed character guides and includes a visit to the Saxon St George’s Tower, which is not only one of the oldest buildings in Oxford, but affords 360-degree views of the beautiful historic city below. The tour also takes you to the 900-year-old underground crypt, Debtors’ Tower, and Prison D-Wing.
The castle is open daily from 10am, and can only be explored by guided tour. Oxford Castle is a twenty-minute bus ride from Jurys Inn Oxford Hotel and Conference Venue.
