Learning and Development
As a new recruit your development journey with us starts with your BELONG Induction. The induction is in four sections. Depending on your job role and where your hotel is located will determine what you must complete. You have your probationary period (six months) to complete BELONG Induction, but ideally you should be aiming to complete in three months. As well as online learning you will participate in discussions with your managers about each course in BELONG and how they expect you to apply the learning in your hotel or office. You will complete the Jurys Inn Journey Board Game with other new recruits to ensure you know all about your hotel or office as well as your employee rights and responsibilities from the employee handbook. You will attend our BE Exceptional workshop which gets you to experience our unique Jurys Inn Hotels culture through our Customer service programme.
On completion of your BELONG Induction your development steps up with access to one of our GROW development brands.
Each GROW brand has a Career Wheel to guide your ongoing development focusing on three areas.

These wheels will outline what learning you should be focusing on and how they link to the Jurys Inn competencies we require you to demonstrate for your role. Your learning could be through live webinars with other employees across the group, self-paced online learning via our GROW online portal or face to face workshops with other team members.
For employees based in the UK you also have the opportunity to take part in I Can Qualify (ICQ) our vocational workplace learning programmes.
