All you have to do is input what you want to say and iTranslate offers an accurate translation, which can be played via speaker if you don’t feel confident speaking the language. Similar to the AroundMe app, Urbanspoon uses your location to find nearby restaurants offering name, distance, feedback, menus and price range- allowing you to find the best places to eat in the area. Urbanspoon also allows you to narrow your search by the type of cuisine you fancy, rating or budget, or alternatively, if you can’t decide what you’re in the mood for, use the ‘shake’ mode and Urbanspoon’s restaurant ‘slot machine’ will decide for you!

You can subscribe to certain magazines, newspapers or topics and you can collect things you want to keep by creating your own magazine, such as ‘places to visit’. It also allows you to discover new content from a range of different sources by browsing topics or exploring magazines created by other users, as well as integrating your social network feeds into your flipboard making everything easy to read, share and find.
Flipboard is a great app to have while away, travelling or for those few quiet moments during the hectic daily grind.
