Suggested to be one of the perfect places for a low key proposal, this romantic secluded spot is tucked away in the heart of the Old Town, just off the Royal Mile. It's quite small, but you can easily get lost in its maze of unusual plants, bushes and fruit trees.

Calton Hill – 15 minute walk from Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh

Cheltenham

Cotswold – Leonardo Hotel Cheltenham 2 nights Cotswold escape for £199

If you’re looking for a laid back romantic break, escape to the countryside of Cotswold where you can enjoy a romantic stroll, rolling hills and magnificent meadows. Make sure you check out the ‘Venice of the Cotswold’, the perfect riverfront place to enjoy a picnic shaded by the trees.

Brighton

Leonardo Royal Hotel Brighton Waterfront and Leonardo Hotel Brighton are within walking distance of the below.

While Brighton might not strike you as a destination for romance, spending a day getting lost in the South-Laines, taking in the views on the Wheel at the sea front or taking a stroll hand in hand down the promenade will soon change your mind.

Birmingham

St Philip’s Cathedral – 15 minute walk from Leonardo Hotel Birmingham

This one might come as a surprise, but Birmingham is an easy place to love and an easy place to fall in love. Sit back and enjoy the dramatic background of the oldest building in the city dating back over 300 years. If you want to see the city from a different view, take a boat trip down the watery pathways at The Canals (just a 4 minute walk away).

Newcastle

The Millennium Bridge over the River Tyne – 7 minute walk from Leonardo Hotel Newcastle & a 3 minute walk from Leonardo Hotel Newcastle Quayside

There’s something inherently romantic about bridges that makes them the perfect spot to perch. Perhaps it’s the fact that many bridges have incredible romantic views, and Newcastle is no exception! The circular walk from the Swing Bridge to the Millennium Bridge has everything going for it, with lovely views of the Gateshead and Newcastle Quaysides, , and best of all, the lights twinkling on the city’s river.
