London Fashion Week is the highlight of the season for many budding fashionistas immersing themselves in the world of fashion. However, unless you are an industry expert or part of the fashion 'elite', London Fashion Week is pretty inaccessible to the general public unless you attempt to flaunt your amazing street style outside Somerset House in an attempt to get into the show (a slightly unrealistic game plan).

Alternatively you can watch quite a few of the catwalk shows via the London Fashion Week website live stream. However, part of the excitement of fashion week is getting stuck in with fashion, designers and shopping so Leonardo Hotels has scouted the London Fashion events that all fashion lovers can partake in and enjoy…

London Fashion Week for the 'Everyday' Fashionista

London Fashion Weekend

This is the perfect event for those who love fashion but cannot gain entry in the 'elite' fashion week catwalks. This fantastic event allows the everyday fashionista to experience, absorb and immerse themselves in designers, catwalks and shopping, including exclusive pop-up shops of your favourite brands as well as a range of designer shopping (on discount).

Following in London Fashion Week's footsteps, Vodafone's London Fashion Weekend will be hosted at Somerset House just two days after LFW has ended. Running from the 19 until the 22 September with tickets costing between £17 for a 'just shop' ticket and £130 for a 'luxe' ticket, this is the ideal day out for the fashion lover.

Oxford Street Fashion Showcase

Running from September 1st until the 17th, the Oxford Street Showcase offers 17 days of exclusive fashion events. For the first time ever, flagship stores along Oxford Street will be hosting a range of events in celebration of London Fashion Week. What does this mean exactly? A range of stores will offer in-store talks from British designers and industry experts, blogger style sessions, 'pamper and pose' events, store discounts and much more. All you have to do is browse your favourite participating stores and choose the events you'd like to attend!

Mayfair Sample Sale

Designer Sales UK are hosting Mayfair Sample Sale perfect for fashion week lovers. With a mix of stunning designer brands offering up to 90% off RRP of your favourite labels, this is pretty much any fashionista's heaven! Peruse the ranges of men and women's clothing as well as accessories and you will return home with an entirely new wardrobe for the season. In addition to the fabulous clothes, you can also pick up style tips from the personal stylists on-site. Tickets cost £2/£1 concessions and the sample sale will run from 12-8pm on September 19th.

Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair

Love Vintage? Explore The Vintage Collections including designer favourites from Oscar de la Renta, Dior and Givenchy from 50 of the best vintage dealers. Immerse yourself in fashion, accessories and textiles spanning over 100 years design and fashion. The event will be hosted on Sunday 15th September, 11am -5pm and only costs £4 entry.

Men's Style Night

When fashion is involved, men and men's fashion, often get pushed to the side-lines. Not in Carnaby. On Thursday, September 12th between 5 and 9pm over 100 stores, restaurants and bars will be 'uniting to create the ultimate shopping experience for men'. Carnaby Men's Style Night will include bands, DJs, tastings, trend talks, a pop up ale bar and of course 20% discount on new season collections. Tickets are free and you will be automatically entered into a prize draw for £500 to spend in Carnaby, dinner for 2 and bespoke suit made by Peckham Rye- this is the perfect opportunity for male fashion lovers to go on a Fashion Week shopping spree!

Free Fashion Film Festival

Enjoy the 'silent' cinema (headphones are provided) at St Martin's Courtyard this fashion week with screenings of iconic fashion films for free! The cinema will run over three nights Sunday 15th – Tuesday 17th September and will show Zoolander (15th), Grey Gardens (16th) and The September Issue (17th). Tickets can be obtained either by entering in a prize draw of 100 tickets or turning up on the night under a first come first serve basis. Alternatively, you can book a table at one of the surrounding restaurants and dine al Fresco with a set of headphones.

Your Street Style

Every fashionista wants to look their best during Fashion Week to showcase their own street style. But even the best of us get those 'I have nothing to wear' moments while staring at a wardrobe full of clothes. So Leonardo Hotels has collected together ten of our favourite fashion bloggers/magazines for your London Fashion Week Street Style inspiration

London Fashion Week will also be available to watch live on any device or smartphone from the London Fashion Week site.
