There’s so much to see and do in Edinburgh that you’re bound to miss something on a flying visit. This November, the Scottish capital is celebrating a renowned tequila festival and St Andrew’s Day, while hosting the likes of rock gods Queens of the Stone Age and the king of one-line comedy Jimmy Carr. Don’t miss the best bits of your Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh getaway with our guide to what’s on in November.

Foodies Festival
Just an 11-minute drive from Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh.

Head to the EICC this November for the UK’s favourite Christmas food and drink festival. The Foodies Festival is a collection of pop-up stalls and restaurants where you can taste independent delicacies and the festive dishes of celebrity chefs and Great British Bake Off winners. Afterwards, grab a glass of mulled wine and find some bespoke Christmas gifts from the artisan markets.

The festival starts on Friday 24th November and runs all weekend. Tickets range upwards of £5.00, and all ages are welcome.

Craft Beer Revolution Festival
Just a 10-minute walk from Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh.

Start your Christmas festivities early at Edinburgh’s Craft Beer Revolution Festival. The huge main hall of Assembly Roxy will be transformed into a beer hall filled with street food, cocktails and over 60 of the best beers from across the UK.

The first kegs of the festival will be tapped on the 23rd of November and the beer will flow until the 25th. Tickets start out at £6.00.

St Andrew’s Day & The Christmas Market
Just a 7-minute drive from Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh.

There’s plenty to see and do across Edinburgh on St Andrew’s Day, with massive events being staged at castles all around the city. You might be tempted to head over to Edinburgh Castle to check out all the fuss, but we recommend wandering through the Christmas markets to George Street, which will be filled with ice and snow sculptures that represent a journey through Scottish history. Mythical creatures, historical figures and whiskey barrels will mark your way through an ethereal St Andrew’s Day journey.

Frozen Scotland is on the 30th November. Tickets are £10 per person, and the event is open to all ages. Edinburgh’s Christmas market on George Street is open to the public from now until the 24th December.

Santa’s Grotto
Just a 7-minute drive from Leonardo Royal Hotel Edinburgh.

Christmas isn’t Christmas without a visit to see Santa Claus. You’ll find the holly jolly man himself on George Street from now until 24th December. He might be the busiest man on the planet, but he still has time for a festive story and a gift for every child.

Tickets for these festive group sessions start from £8. Booking for a specific time slot is required.
