If you live and breathe cars, then you won't want to miss the Brighton to London Car Challenge,an event devoted solely to the promotion and development of new-energy related technology for the cars of tomorrow. The challenge will take place on Saturday, November 6, one day before the annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run.

Enthusiasts should appreciate the fact that the cars will use the universally recognized 60-mile route between London and Brighton. It will end on London's Regent Street, likely to a crowd of more than 250,000 spectators. The new-energy technologies being developed to lower emissions are being touted as one of the most compelling challenges to face the motoring industry since the mass production days of the internal combustion engine. As a result, anyone who considers his or herself as a producer or enthusiast of new-energy motor vehicles is encouraged to enter the car challenge. It will be an opportunity to not only demonstrate, but also promote your very own future motoring vehicles. The Royal Automobile Club, a private car club based out of London, will host the event. The distinguished club has been around for over 100 years and fortunately, the club now accepts female members as well. The club has always been a supporter of new developments in motoring across Great Britain, ever since the 1000 Mile Trail iin 1900 and the very first motor race five years later in 1905.Participants of the challenge can expect a variety of enjoyable aspects to the challenge, including an invitation to the post-event celebration dinner being held exclusively at the club, extensive media and press coverage, as well as official starter plaques for all participating cars. The top winner of the challenge will receive the prestigious Royal Automobile Club Gold Medal, and anyone who achieves the "lowest energy use" honor in his or her category will receive a trophy.
