London is a beautiful place to visit during the Christmas season, and it’s not just because of the photographer friendly colours of the city and the great range of London hotels making your stay memorable. It’s because of the vast array of musical and dramatic theatrical productions that are produced and shown to the public here. From comedy to romance, there is plenty to see in London. Here are a few shows that you can’t afford to miss in London during the 2011 Christmas season.

The Phantom of the Opera – Musical Part musical, part drama, and part romance, this thrilling tale is famous around the world. Today you can enjoy this beautiful performance at London’s West End, available all through the Christmas season, until mid April of 2012.

Les Miserables – Musical There is no musical that has had a longer run than Les Miserables, the brilliant and masterful piece of work brought to life from the inspiration of Victor Hugo’s brilliant novel of the same name. It is an enthusing tale of passion, destruction and drama, all set in the midst of a dramatic, bloody revolution. It is London’s most enthralling musical production at the moment. Driving Miss Daisy – Classic At the Wyndams Theatre, the stars are aligning for the production of this dramatic play – literally. 2 time Tony Award Winner and Academy Award Nominee James Earl Jones is teaming up with Tony Award Winner and Academy Award Winner Vanessa Redgrave. They are joining forces to create their adaptation of Driving Miss Daisy.

One Man, Two Guvners Opening on November 8th, just in time for the 2011 Christmas season, One Man, Two Guvners, opens with the return of James Corden. The world premiere of this show is highly anticipated, the first new work from Richard Bean at the lovely Adelphi Theatre.
