London is busy all year-round with sporting events and the month of April will be no different. The month of April will allow both tourists and locals to experience all of the following high-class outdoor and indoor professional sporting events.
April 17th - Virgin London Marathon The streets of London will host over 30,000 runners on the 17th of April. A 26.2 mile route starting at Greenwich Park and finishing at The Mall near Buckingham Palace will be packed with a diverse range of participants including heralded professionals, amateur running enthusiasts and costumed fun runners running for charity.
April 23rd - St George's Day Rugby: London Wasps vs. Bath The Twickenham Rugby Stadium in London is the place to be on the 23rd when the London Wasps and Bath Rugby meet for the 21st round of the Aviva Premiership. Last year, over 60,000 people spent St. George's Day at Twickenham celebrating English heritage, and this year a similar turnout is expected because money is being raised for four military charities.
April 30th - Arsenal vs. Manchester United - Emirates Stadium Premier League rivals Arsenal host Manchester United for what is bound to be a hotly-contested affair. Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal FC, will host the late-season league match that will likely make or break one of the contestant's league title ambitions.
