The Ice Cube in Leeds' Millennium Square has made a much-anticipated returns once again in 2019, to the delight of ice skaters in West Yorkshire as well as its visitors. The most popular winter attraction in Yorkshire, the Ice Cube boasts over 1200 square meters of real ice to glide about on, right in Leeds City Centre. Within the cool architectural surroundings, participants can enjoy a family-focused main rink, or accompany their little ones on the nursery rink.

Ice skating lessons, which follow the National Ice Skating Association (NISA) programme, are readily available for all ages. Participants can make their way through the 10 skill levels and revel in the accomplishment of receiving their approved certificate from the Association on their final lesson. Ice skating lessons at The Cube would make a wonderful gift for that has-it-all person on your shopping list, whether you are thinking of next holiday season or a wintery birthday surprise. Why not make a weekend of it? With a variety of hotels in Leeds to choose from it would be the perfect opportunity to have a great few days away.

Attractions include a Snow Slide Tobaggan, where riders race 5m down a sheer white slide nestled in a snow tube. Another new attraction is the Glacier Run Experience Simulator, which allows adventure seekers to experience an exhilarating 4-minute bobsleigh run within the safe confines of a simulator capsule.

No ice-skating experience is complete without a hot chocolate break, and the onsite Cafe ensures that Ice Cube visitors get their fix. For a more hearty option, the cafe offers soups as well as other hot foods. Other dining choices on Millennium Square include bars and restaurants such as Revolution, Spice Quarter and Epernay.

If you are ready to pack in your skates for the day, but not yet ready to leave the City Centre, pop over and discover the Leeds City Museum or enjoy family entertainment at the nearby Carriageworks Theatre.
