Legoland Discovery Centers are family friendly indoor attractions that are smaller versions of the Legoland theme park. They feature activities with the world famous interlocking bricks, gears and miniature figures that are bursting with creative potential. The adventure is limited only by your child’s imagination. If your children love Lego blocks, then a trip to one of these venues will surely be a treat.
When you visit Legoland in Manchester, you’ll feel like you have jumped inside a gigantic box of Legos. Professor Brick-a-Brack will take you on a guided tour of the Discovery Center’s “Factory.” You can turn brightly colored plastic into finished commemorative bricks with the press of a button. Guests will enjoy the ride as they fly through the sky and conjure spells as Merlin’s apprentice. In Kingdom Quest, patrons will mount their mighty chariots and complete their knight’s quest of rescuing the princess by defeating dragons, skeletons and trolls. Keep score and see who will be Legoland’s greatest knight. Build the tallest structure you can, and see if it withstands the Earthquake Table. In the Legoland Fire Academy, you can show that you have what it takes to climb aboard the equipment and fight fires. Children can receive hands-on lessons from a Master Builder and then try their hand at building and testing race cars or creating a fairy tale princess wonderland.
Children will also enjoy the Construction site, a soft play area and the action adventure movie shown in the 4D Cinema. You will visit Miniland where the local area is re-created in miniature with the use of Lego bricks. See how many buildings and iconic landmarks you can identify. The Discovery Center has facilities for school workshops and special events like birthday parties. There is also an onsite café.
Next time you decide to visit, choose from one of the many hotels in Manchester and experience this imaginative and educational attraction that the whole family can enjoy.
