For several years now the 12 Days Of Christmas has been a very popular festival that is held at the Dublin’s Docklands. The yuletide festivities begin on the 12th of December and continue until the 23rd. Each day from 12:00 noon until 8:00 PM you can enjoy this magical holiday celebration. If you are visiting the city this Christmas check out the Leonardo Hotel's range of hotels in Dublin.

Grab your friends and family and browse through the chalet style market stalls. You can shop for crafts, jewellery, toys, handmade candles and soaps, stained glass, leather and home goods. You can finish your Christmas gift shopping while you enjoy the true spirit of this traditional yuletide festival. Take the kids to Santa’s Grotto on the weekends and they can talk to Old St. Nick and request their special gifts. Be sure to watch for Santa as you browse for gifts as he will be wandering through the crowds handing out sweet treats to those who have been naughty or nice.

The 12 Days of Christmas is not just about shopping. Take a ride on the Galloping Horses Carousel or have your face painted. Have a cold beer at the German bar or sip a glass of mulled wine while you listen to traditional Christmas Carols. Be sure to bring your appetite so that you can indulge in tasty cheeses, cakes and other delights. The food markets have everything you could ever want to tantalize your taste buds. If you are still hungry, you can have lunch or dinner at the Ely Wine Bar and Restaurant which is conveniently located in the chq building. At night the skies are brilliant with the twinkling holiday lights on George’s Dock as you enter the Custom House archway at the Quay.

As you make plans for the holiday season be sure to include the 12 Days Of Christmas at the Dublin’s Docklands. This traditional European festival has something for everyone and is something that you will want to attend every year.
