Be dazzled by the stunning architecture of County Arcade

As part of the 'Victoria Quarter', County Arcade is designated an upmarket shopping area within Leeds, and it isn't hard to see why! With many designer boutiques to choose from such as Jeffery West, Vivienne Westwood, REISS, Mulberry, Illamasqua and more, it’s a real shopping haven and a must-visit for those who seek retail therapy. While roaming through the different boutiques, be sure to take a step back to appreciate and take in the stunning architecture of the Arcade. First built in 1900, the building was later demolished in the 60s, but thankfully made a triumphant comeback between 1989 and 1996!

Go explore the 'Home of Independents' inside the Corn Exchange

The Corn Exchange is a beautiful Grade 1 Listed structure and remains one of the most iconic buildings both in Leeds and across the UK. Although the exterior gives the illusion that’s its rather small, inside it feels absolutely huge; appearances certainly are deceiving with the Corn Exchange! Inside caters for your every mood, whether it's going to have a browse in one of their many fashion shops, having a quick bite to eat, or going on the hunt for that special gift. In preparation for the upcoming 'Ping Pong Fight Club' this October, there are currently Ping Pong tables on the basement level for you to have a go on. Good luck!

Escape from the hustle and bustle and retire for a pint in Whitelocks

Despite living near Leeds and visiting almost twice weekly, it was only recently that I discovered Whitelocks! The reason for this is almost certainly due to its location; this Ale House is incredibly well hidden. Situated down an alleyway in between Virgin Money and Carphone Warehouse, the 18th Century Grade II Listed Building offers a vast range of real ales and food which is all locally sourced and freshly made. It’s perfect both for tourists and busy workers looking for a traditional public house to kick back in. The interior has that classic, rustic feel and outside in their beer 'garden' (Turk's Head Yard), their iconic sign is definitely worth an Instagram snap or two.

Taste the bubbles at The Alchemist

The Alchemist is one of the most stylish bars in Leeds, and is well known for its amazing, crazy concoctions! There are two bars to choose from, one on Greek Street, and the other is situated at the top of Trinity Shopping Centre. My personal preference? The Alchemist within Trinity simply due to their wraparound terrace which is the ideal spot to sip away and take in the Sun's rays on those hot, Summer days! Offering up many different inventive drinks from colour changing options, to ones that change flavour halfway through, right down to cocktails that bubble over completely. All of these are perfect to create those 'Boomerangs' on Instagram, and to show off to your friends. A little tip... ask for the Screwball, you can thank me later.
