The Belfast Beer and Cider Festival is one of Ireland's finest beer festivals. People regularly come from all over the British Isles to enjoy some of the region's best beer and cider as well as to enjoy live entertainment and play games.

Event Information

The Belfast Beer and Cider Festival takes in Belfast from November 18th to the 20th, 2010. The festival is held in the downtown area of Belfast right behind city hall. The exact address of the festival is Ulster Hall, Belford Street. The event starts at noon on Thursday the 18th and ends at 11 p.m. The hours for the event on Friday are also noon to 11 p.m. On Saturday, activities start at 11 a.m and end at 11 p.m. Charges to enter the event...Daytime £3, evenings (from 5pm Thursday and Saturday, from 4pm Friday) £6. CAMRA members £2 at all times. Pay for the food and alcohol you wish to consume.

Each day's activities are centered on the many different beers and ciders that will be available. Over the course of the three-day event, there will be more than 95 varieties of beer available for people to sample. It is expected that there will be over 80 different varieties of beer available each day. Beers that will be available include Atlas, Caledonian and Batemans. There will also be around 15 varieties of ciders available at the festival including Westons and Thatchers.

In addition to the beer and cider, there will also be live musical entertainment each day. People are also welcome to take part in traditional pub games and buy food and soft drinks from the vendors.

The event is sponsored by The Campaign for Real Ale. The festival promotes responsible drinking. Therefore, there will be public transportation available to and from the event.
