Strings of Autumn is one of the most well-loved and respected music festivals in Prague, Czech Republic. This year, Strings of Autumn celebrates its 15th anniversary as a showcase for many styles of music. Running from September 19th through November 21st, Strings of Autumn 2010 offers numerous concerts at various venues over the course of several weeks.

The festival's concerts are divided into four simultaneously-running concert series: 'The Inspiration series' pays tribute to the festival's 15-year-long history with performances by musicians who have performed at previous Strings of Autumn festivals. In addition to Jan Garbarek and the Hilliard Ensemble, these acts include Brad Mehldau and Anne Sofie von Otter, performing at the Municipal House on October 26, and 'Reflections 2010', a collection of numerous Czech artists who will perform at the National Memorial on November 7.

'The Crossover' series is designed to blur the boundaries between genres and celebrate the evolution of music. Crossover began with the David Orlowsky Trio on October 7 at the Spanish Synagogue. The series continued later in October with a performance by the Alash Ensemble, who performed traditional Tuvan folk music at the Czech Museum of Music on October 21. Kayhan Kalhor and Brooklyn Ryder rounded out the Crossover series with a performance at the Prague Crossroads on October 31.

'The Luminaries' series showcases some of the finest musicianship in the areas of early music, classical and jazz. Julia Fischer, one of the world's most promising young violinists, kicked off this portion of Strings of Autumn 2010 with a concert on October 12 at the Prague Crossroads. This was followed by a performance by the Dowland Project on November 3 at the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, as well as a concert by American jazz singer Diane Reeves on November 21 at the Prague Congress Centre.
