From the 16th to the 19th of September, the East Cork Early Music Festival
will be in full swing at the following locations and events:
Sept. 17 An Audience with Sarah Dunant at the Glucksman Gallery. The Irish Baroque Orchestra, 8:00 PM at the Curtis Auditorium. The Flautadors, 3:30 PM at the Stack Theatre.
Sept. 18 Angels and Devils, 8:00 PM at the Curtis Auditorium Passion and Division by Susanne Heinrich, 1:00 PM at the Fota House. Student performances, festival activities and farmers’ market, 2:00 PM at the Fota house. Elegance and Endurance by Smaointe Taitneamhach, 1:00 PM at Christchurch and Rushbrooke. Sacred Hearts, Secret Music, 4:00 PM at St Colman’s Cathedral. Modern Live Music Events
Cork’s top bars and music halls will be hosting a variety of modern music events. They include:
Sept. 22nd – Legendary punk poet John Cooper Clarke performs at the Pavilion. 20 GBP entry fee. Sept. 23rd – Celebrate Arthur Guinness day 2010 with a host of guest acts at the Old Oak and the Pavilion. 5 GBP entry fee. Sept 30th – Well known US grunge band Mudhoney continues its UK tour with a stop at Cyprus Avenue. 16 GBP entry fee. Sept 30th – DJ Shadow brings his eclectic instrumental hip hop and breakbeat sounds to the Savoy Theatre.
