2010 marks the four-year anniversary of the Hope Street Festival in Liverpool. Each year there is a new theme to the event and this year that theme is The Big Nosh. This family-friendly festival gives you the opportunity to taste a variety of foods from local vendors and restaurants while enjoying the sights and sounds.

Hope Street Festival 2010 Events

The Hope Street Festival in Liverpool has a number of exciting events planned that the entire family can enjoy. The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall will be open to the public and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing throughout the day for three free concerts. In addition, there will be three other stages set up around the Hope Street Festival, each featuring a number of different musical acts such as Ian Prowse, The Trestles, the cast of SixWays and more.

There are also plenty of activities to participate in. You can attend conversation sessions with the musicians to learn more about their craft. Carnival rides, art exhibits and the farmer's market will also be available during the majority of the festival. Other family oriented activities at the Liverpool Hope Street Festival include face painting, storytellers, cake decorating, crafts and other free interactive events.

Hope Street Festival Details

The Hope Street Festival takes place on September 20 from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Hope Street festival is located on Hope Street in Liverpool between the Metropolitan Cathedral and running to the Liverpool Cathedral. There are also events and musical performances located on Hardman Street, Myrtle Street and Blackburne Place. Admission to the Hope Street Festival is completely free; however, you should bring some spending money for food and drinks.
