We are excited to open our newest hotel on South Shore Road in NewcastleGateshead Quays on August 25th. One of the reasons for our excitement is that it will stand on “the hippest street in Britain,” as it was named recently by Google Street View Awards in June of this year.

South Shore Road is also home to the Baltic art gallery and the Sage music centre, which was designed by the renowned architect Norman Foster, and overlooks the “Blinking Eye” millennium bridge, which offers stunning views across the water. Our new hotel will be a spectacular addition to this now-famous and prestigious street.

The hotel’s location is the ideal place for travelers to use as a starting point for exploring the entire northern part of Britain. It’s next door to the Baltic gallery, a mere three-minute walk from the Sage, and less than five minutes from the Millennium Bridge and Quayside. Many of the hotel’s stylish rooms have spectacular river-side views and a terrace for warm summer days.

Speaking of its over two hundred hotels rooms, they are spacious and comfortable, all en-suite, and can accommodate up to three adults. It also includes a stylish bar and restaurant, three dedicated meeting rooms, twenty-four hour reception and security services, wireless internet in public areas, and laundry and dry cleaning.

As in all of our hotels, the South Shore hotel will be green. As a company, Jurys Inn is committed to reducing the environmental impact of their hotel operations through our pro-active environmental and social policies. This new hotel in Gateshead is a great addition the area and with its great rates it is certainly worth checking out for your next visit.
