Creamsfield Festival, the award-winning electronic music and dance music festival, has featured some of the biggest names in music since it was founded in 1999: the Chemical Brothers, Gorillax, Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx, Underworld, Groove Armada, Outkast, Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, and Jeff Mills. This year, Creamfields 2011 will be on from Friday 26th August to Sunday 28th August, at Daresbury in Cheshire.
Creamsfield features both DJs and live acts. In addition to the UK festival, there are several other Creamsfields all over the world: Abu Dhabi, Buenos Aires, Istanbul, Mexico City, Moscow, Prague, Lima, Santiago, Rio de Juneiro, Malta, Lisbon, and Sydney. Creamsfield is so big in the UK that its organisers had to add more stages this year, with the biggest line-up of artists than ever before.
As always, Creamfield’s headliners will perform on Saturday night, on its North Stage. For the first time in several years, The Chemical Brothers will perform at what will probably be their last outdoor concert in the UK this year. Also performing for the last time outdoors will be Tom & Ed. One of the biggest DJs in the industry, Tiësto—always a big draw—will be at Creamsfield; as will Grammy-nominated DJ Paul van Dyk, as he presents his new live show from his forthcoming new studio album.
The Sunday shows will also be spectacular. They’ll include dance greats David Guetta and the Swedish House Mafia. The DJ trio Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso will host their own arena for the third year in a row, but in a much-larger space to accommodate as many fans as possible. Additionally, Laidback Luke, Sven Väth, Marco Carola, Josh Wink, Eric Prydz, and Annie Mac will perform on Sunday. Calvin Harris will dj for the first time at Creamfields. Dance music legends Sasha, Pete Tong, and Paul Oakenfold will be there, as well Gareth Emery, Adam Sheridan, Ferry Corsten, Eddie Halliwell, John O’Callaghan, Judge Jules, and Gareth Wyn.
