Held from February 11 to 13, and based on the classic story of Mulan - one of China's most-loved heroines - the Chinese State Circus is filled with precision acrobatics, dazzling circus skills, Shaolin martial arts and wonderfully colourful characters from the Peking Opera. Over the years, Mulan has become a cultural icon by being represented in songs, poems, books and films. The Shaolin Wushu Warriors are some of the world's greatest experts in martial arts. They train at the Shaolin Temple, which is a sacred monastery that has been in existence for centuries.

Patrons will also be in for a special treat because the leading role of Mulan will be played by Cao Jing. This will be her first appearance in the United Kingdom, but she has 15 years of experience in Kung Fu.

Show times are as follows:

Friday, February 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 12 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 13 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Ticket prices range from 12 Euro to 22.50 Euro.

Groups of eight or more patrons will receive 2 Euro off the full ticket price. The Chinese State Circus is suitable for all members of the family, but take note that each member of a group needs a ticket, including babies and children. All shows will be held in the Auditorium at the Belfast Waterfront, which is one of Northern Ireland's leading conference centers and is regularly recognized as a top destination for both national and international performers. The Waterfront is only a 10 minute walk from the city's centre.

In addition to seeing the Chinese State Circus, viewers may also enjoy several exhibition facilities, a gift shop, an art gallery, bars and an arc brasserie restaurant. The restaurant can get extremely busy during peak hours, so consider making a reservation. In addition, adjacent car parking facilities make it very easy to get to the venue.
