Cork Food Festival began in 2004 in Skibbereen, West Cork Ireland, and is held each year in September. The festival consists of a number of excellent chefs that show off their talents, as well as the variety of outstanding restaurants in the area. West Cork has a pleasant climate, a history of farming and a plentiful supply of fresh foods. In fact, the area is well-known for its outstanding food produce. The festival lasts a whole week, with the highlight coming on Sunday. Tickets are available, and the event also features a silent wine auction. A children’s area is available that includes castles, dancing, baking lessons, face painting and much more. In the afternoon on Sunday, there is an Irish music session, and musicians are asked to bring their instruments. Guests love to enjoy the Irish festival, complete with amazing food and lively music. It will be a celebration to remember.
