The company was commended for its true commitment to employees by championing internal promotion, with 90% of current Jurys Inn General Managers being developed and promoted from within.
In 2012 the company continues its programme to develop and provide new challenges and sees Roger Clark-Coates, General Manager, who led the opening team at Jurys Inn Bradford in 2010, promoted to the new role of Cluster General Manager responsible for both Jurys Inn Bradford and Jurys Inn Leeds. Roger joined Jurys Inn in 2009 as General Manager from Jarvis Hotels where he had worked since 1992.
Andrew Toole moves from Jurys Inn Manchester to lead the team at the 310 bedroom Jurys Inn Liverpool which has played host to both the Liberal Democrat and Labour party conferences. Andrew, 31, began his career at Jurys Inn in 1999 and went on to gain an HNC in Hospitality Management, which he gained whilst on the Jurys Inn Trainee Management course. He was promoted to General Manager of Jurys Inn Manchester in 2008.
Jurys Inn Sheffield welcomes a new General Manager, Michelle Minshull, 31, who has been promoted to General Manager following a successful two years as Deputy General Manager at Jurys Inn Brighton. Having started her career in the hospitality industry at just 16 Michelle joined Jurys Inn In 2001 on the reservations team and has quickly progressed through the ranks making her one of the group’s youngest General Managers.
Chris Broderick is promoted to General Manager and will move from Jurys Inn Leeds to Jurys Inn Manchester. Chris began his career with Jurys Inn almost 12 years ago. He completed a First Line Managers award and an Institute of Leadership management BIIAB course before becoming Revenue Manager at Jurys Inn Leeds in 2008 leading to his appointment as Deputy General Manager at Jurys Inn Liverpool.
Jurys Inn Derby welcomes General Manager, Theresa Snell who moves from her role as General Manager at Jurys Inn Leeds. Theresa, 35, originally from Suffolk, gained a BTEC National Diploma in Hotel, Catering & Institutional Operations before joining Jurys Inn. Theresa has held several positions with Jurys Inn since joining in 2001 starting as a receptionist working her way up to becoming Deputy General Manager of Jurys Inn Sheffield in 2008, where she oversaw the opening of the new hotel.
