New General Manager of Jurys Inn Liverpool Leads the Way for the Labour Conference
Jurys Inn Liverpool is the chosen hotel for the forthcoming Labour Party Conference this September. The hotel is ideally situated for conference venue and has a proven track record for excellent service, playing host to many national and international conference delegates. This year all the nation’s media attention will be on Liverpool as over 11,000 delegates descend on the city for the conference and Jurys Inn hosts the Labour party’s key players.
The hotel will be at full occupancy throughout the conference which will mean securing additional resources and staff to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. The high profile event brings with it additional scrutiny from both guests and the UK’s media which new General Manager Jerry Pribil is very aware of as he meticulously plans the management of the week, from pre-checking in delegates to staggering lunch service. General Managers and Deputy General Managers from across the group will also be on hand throughout the event to ensure a member of senior management is available at the hotel 24 hours a day.
To meet additional demands partnerships with outside catering have been secured with local supplier, Cains brewery providing an ale bar in the lobby area as part of the four additional catering outlets in the hotel. Whilst impeccable accommodation and exceptional service are expected, delivery needs to be seamless as the busy delegates move from each meeting and conference session everything needs to function without question.
Jurys Inn Liverpool understands the demands a high profile conference brings and all the details finalised in the forthcoming weeks will be designed to deliver the high level of service expected by Shadow Ministers and Advisors during the busiest periods of the event.
Exceptional service is at the forefront of everything Jerry and his team aim to deliver and representing the City of Liverpool during the Labour Party Conference is no exception. As well as engaging with local business and suppliers, Jurys Inn Liverpool is looking to recruit young hopefuls from the local colleges Hugh Baird and De Vere Academy of Hospitality. Selected hospitality students will receive training ahead of the event, allowing them to work with the hotel and be part of the leisure industry during a high profile event, giving them invaluable hands-on experience.
General Manager, Jerry Pribil and his team have been working in partnership with The City of Liverpool, The Merseyside Partnership and the ACC to ensure a smooth event. Planning started in June when the newly appointed General Manager joined the hotel group. The scale of the event has meant substantial time and communications for everyone involved.
The numbers behind the event:
340 guests will be served breakfast every morning between 7 and 10am
30 additional exceptional employees will be hired
4 additional food and beverage outlets will be set up within the hotel
24 hours a day there will be a GM or DGM at the hotel, additional support will be sent from Jurys Inns across the UK
