Following a short welcome from the hotel’s General Manager Rachel Strange, guests were treated to an exclusive preview performance from the cast of Broadway musical, The Little Shop of Horrors, which will be showing at the ICC at the Symphony Hall from 27th – 30th March 2013. The cast of The Little Shop of Horrors said, “We loved being able to perform in such a great setting. The crowd were really lively and the atmosphere was great. To have a hotel so stylish and so central, why look further? We would recommend anyone coming to see the Little Shop of Horrors at The ICC stay here.” Delicious mini desserts were served on the renovated conference floor, featuring 20 modern meeting rooms, as guests enjoyed casino tables and a performance from singer Kellie Leigh. Kellie Leigh, Singer: “What a lovely evening! I had such a wonderful time and hope everyone enjoyed the evening as much as I did. The hotel looks great, particularly the restaurant which I’m sure will be hugely popular with tourists and locals alike.” Wayne Elcock, Birmingham born, former British middleweight champion said: "I’ve had a great evening and I’m looking to forward to visiting the hotel restaurant again, there are lots of options to suit my diet whilst I'm in training. I can see the team here at the hotel have put a lot of hard work and effort into making tonight's event such a success and it has paid off. Good Luck to Rachel and her team, the new look hotel is a definitely a knock-out." Don Broadhurst, Birmingham born flyweight professional boxer said: "It’s great to see a world class hotel in my home town and I can't wait to try out one of the steaks in the new restaurant. I've had a really good evening and the entertainment was fantastic. The new bar is just what Broad Street has been missing and I've no doubt the new hotel and restaurant will do very well." As part of the renovation programme, the hotel has seen all 445 bedrooms, all 20 meeting rooms and all public areas refurbished with the addition of a stylish new contemporary restaurant and bar which now features an open gallery kitchen, plush velvet seating and local art installations. Rachel Strange, General Manager, Jurys Inn Birmingham said, ‘It’s been a fantastic few months seeing all our hard work come together and tonight’s event was truly the icing on the cake. We’re extremely pleased with the hotel’s sophisticated new look and have already received some great feedback from our guests.
