To travel in Dublin’s ‘fair city’ is a truly marvelous experience, even if you only have three days in which to do it.

Day 1: Take a Tour of Dublin

And because you only have three days to get to know Dublin, we recommend that you get yourself over to the Dublin tourist office, and sign up for a tour. You may discover something on the tour that strikes your fancy, so much so that you decide to eschew other tours and spend a day or half-a-day investigating it.

In other days, go on a tour the first day, and if you want to experience Dublin in new and different ways, sign up for another one on the next day. Dublin offers all kinds of tours, from a tour of the home of Guinness, the Guinness Storehouse, to a family-friendly ‘Viking Splash Tour’ an amphibious sightseeing tour. Dublin offers many good tours so you should take at least one tour whilst you’re in the city, at least the first day of your stay.

Day 2: Visit Dublin’s famous pub scene

One thing is for certain, you must spend at least one of your evenings in one or more of Dublin’s pubs. A trip to any city in Ireland isn’t complete unless you’ve had a pint. A walking tour of Dublin’s pubs is a great way to experience the city. One such walking tour is a pub crawl that visits major Dublin pubs known for different Irish beers, and not just Guinness. You can experience traditional Irish music in Temple Bar or visit the trendy bars on Camden St.

Day3: See Dublin’s history and architecture

Another thing Dublin is famous is its architecture. There are many historic sites in the city to visit, either on a tour or on your own. From Christ Church Cathedral (built in the 11th century and the oldest church in Dublin), to Glasnevin Cemetery just two miles from the city centre, to the Dublin Castle, Dublin is a great way to experience history.

If you are planning on visiting Dublin and need a hotel, check out the Jurys Inn’s range of hotels in Dublin.
