If you’re new to the UK, and are wondering where you can go for a shopping spree this Christmas, our guide should be more than enough to get you started.

There are many great spots for shopping in UK; in fact, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Most of the UK’s cities have many great shopping areas, so wherever you are, you can be certain you will always find a place where you can get trendy clothes, shoes and jewellery that are well worth your money.

So without further ado, below are some of the most popular city shopping locations:

London

London is a great city to visit for a shopping weekend getaway. From high street chains to chic boutiques, you can get it all in The Big Smoke.

Shopping on Oxford Street is thrilling to say the least. If you can manage the hordes of other bargain hunters, this street has it all. Every brand worth its salt has at least one store down Oxford Street. If you’re looking for this year’s latest trends, high street fashion, and so on, this is the perfect place to start. Famous department stores like Selfridges and John Lewis have everything worth buying under sun. There’s even a Harvey Nichols!

Now, you’ve braved the high street stores and the most popular fashion shopping spots, but perhaps you want something a little more unique. There are independent boutiques everywhere in London, but a great place to start is on Upper Street in Islington. There are some very cool places well worth a visit. Try out Diverse at 294 Upper Street for a lovely selection of the latest trends, or Smug at 12 Camden Passage for some very stylish home accessories. And the great news is the Jurys Inn London Islington is less than a 10 minute walk away!

Birmingham

There are so many shops to choose from Birmingham that make shopping a vibrant experience and can leave any shopaholic happy for days and mesmerise any novice. You can’t beat the value and ease of going to a place that has it all in one. The Windmills Shopping Centre, the Northfield Shopping Centre, the Pavilions Central, the Palisades and the Mailbox, just to mention a few, are great for most things. However, the Bullring Shopping Centre is considered the best one to spend your money in, and it’s only a 15 minute walk from Jury’s Birmingham.

Edinburgh

For high quality goods and an amazing shopping experience, you may want to pay a visit to the high end stores at George Street. This place boasts the likes of stores such as Brooks Brothers, Jack Wills and Karen Miller, although quite expensive; the quality and choice is second to none. It also pays to visit upscale designer stores like Jenners and Harvey Nichols for a wide view of classy shopping. You will additionally come along many other shops and stores along Princess Street such as Debenhams and House of Fraser. The Jurys Hotel in Edinburgh is right outside the train station so getting anywhere in the city will be hassle free

Newcastle

If you know much about Newcastle shopping, then you probably would have heard of High Bridge. Now along High Bridge you will encounter many boutiques that provide awesome places for you to shop at. Most of these boutiques are independently run, with a high chance to nail the holy grail of shopping double-whammy’s; original stuff at bargain rates! And of course, the Jurys hotel is within walking distance.

Manchester

Manchester has a myriad of shopping areas for you, starting with the well-known Trafford Centre and the aptly named Shopping High Street. But they are not the only places that make shopping in Manchester interesting. To begin with, the Manchester Real Food Market offers everything from delicious cakes to fruits and vegetables, among other foods. The Manchester Fashion Market, on the other hand, is famous for its classy and fashionable clothes and outfits. You can also get brilliant jewellery here. Other markets that are good shopping destinations to stop by while in Manchester include the Manchester Church Street Market and the Gorton Market. And after a long day of shopping in this great shopping, head back to the Jurys Inn Manchester for a well-deserved rest!

Needless to say, the UK is one place where you can enjoy the best shopping experience of your life. What’s more, price tags are often affordable and items are usually of great quality, making them worth every penny. Most importantly, you don’t have to shop at the same place each and every day as you can always visit a new shopping destination and get to see a massive range of different fashion trends on offer.
