Glasgow, Scotland is widely considered to have one of the most thriving and exciting music scenes in Europe. As Scotland's largest city, Glasgow features a wide variety of high quality live music, and November is no exception. The following is a selection of musical acts that will be stopping through Glasgow during the month of November, 2010:
Hip-hop superstar Big Boi, best known as one half of OutKast, will be performing at O2 Academy Glasgow on November 3. This marks Big Boi's first ever tour of the UK.
On November 12, O2 Academy Glasgow will be featuring the prolific American rock band, Deftones. The band is on tour supporting their latest critically-acclaimed album Diamond Eyes. Supporting Deftones will be Coheed and Cambria, known for their science-fiction influenced concept albums.
The up and coming indie outfit, Local Natives, will appear at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow on November 13. A considerable amount of hype follows Local Natives, who have been favourably compared to such acts as Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend.
ABC2 in Glasgow will welcome Caribou to its stage on November 21. The stage name of Canadian electonic musician Dan Snaith, Caribou will hit Glasgow near the end of a lengthy European tour. UK-based electronic musician Four Tet will open.
November will be rounded out with an appearance by Grammy-nominated metal group As I Lay Dying, who are performing at The Garage in Glasgow on the 29th. The band will be supported by Suicide Silence and Heaven Shall Burn.
