Britain’s Most Romantic Cities

Posted at February 14, 2013 in General

It's Valentine’s Day and if you haven’t decided where to go for a break yet, hopefully we can help you find somewhere to go and have the perfect couple’s weekend in one of Britain’s most romantic cities.

Brighton

If you’re looking for a seaside break with romantic strolls on the beach and nice restaurants, try Brighton. For some daytime pampering, try Champneys or Chutima Therapy. If you’d like to catch a play or some music, you should head down to the fantastic Theatre Royal. For something a little different, you might want to visit Riddle and Finns for some oysters and bubbly.

Our Brighton hotel is perfectly located in proximity to all these romantic attractions, so it’s the perfect place for you to enjoy your Valentine’s night stay.

London

London is included in the list for the sheer magnitude of romantic things you’re able to do. There is a list of over 10,000 restaurants on Tripadvisor so you’re able to sample whatever cuisine you feel like. Our choice for Valentine’s Day would be to take a Thames dinner cruise for two, which takes you past all of London’s stunning sights. If it’s a clear evening, you might want to get on the London Eye and watch the sunset over the impressive skyline. You can arrange a glass of champagne to be served to help you relax and take it all in. Jurys Inn have two central London hotels – one in Islington and one on Chelsea – both ideally situated if you feel like booking a romantic weekend here.

Edinburgh

If you live in the South East of England, and the first two cities are a little bit too close to where you are, you might fancy taking a trip to Edinburgh. One of the city’s most famous landmarks, Edinburgh Castle, has been the scene of an ever growing number of marriage proposals in the last couple of years. If you’d like to watch the sun set over Edinburgh or watch the stars, there aren’t many better places than Calton Hill, where there are lots of historic buildings and statues to admire as well as two famous observatories.

You can book your Edinburgh hotel for Valentine’s Day now!

Belfast

Another great city that deserves a mention here is Belfast, a fantastic city to visit if you’re looking for a little bit of romance. You can visit Cave Hill Country Park for a picnic and some astonishing views of the city. Titanic was one of the most popular love movies of all time – and you can take part in a Titanic Boat Tour while you’re here. This tour allows you to experience all the sights and sounds of the bustling 19th century port in all its glory! If you’d like to eat out, take a look at these restaurants and decide the best place for you to have a romantic meal.

Our Belfast hotel is in a perfect location in the city – so why not stay at Jurys Inn if you’re planning on a romantic Valentine’s weekend there?
