Prolific Irish pop group Westlife have already played five performances at the O2 this April to support their number one album Gravity. World-renowned violinist Andre Rieu will perform at the O2 Dublin on April 26th. Originally set to play the O2 in September of 2010, Rieu was forced to cancel due to ill health and has rescheduled for April. Founder of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, Rieu is the recipient of such honors as the Knight of the Order of the Netherlands Lion and the Knight of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Those with tickets to the canceled September concert may exchange their tickets for the new date.
Comedian Peter Kay will take the stage at the O2 Dublin for a series of shows beginning on the 28th of April and running through early May. Billed as having one of the most successful stand-up comedy tours ever, the Independent has labeled Kay as Britain's best comedian. All proceeds from each show will be donated to Irish Autism Action, an organization dedicated to bettering the lives of those affected by autism.
