Brighton is known for its entertainment and festivals, between Comedy festivals to the Brighton fringe festival! And it doesn’t disappoint this April with the Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival which runs every April for 10 days, and throughout the month of September. It is the largest such festival in the South of England, and well worth a visit. Here are some of the activities you can expect to see this year.

The Mixology Secret Supper Club will not only offer a fantastic slow cooked feast, but also cocktail canapes and fire extinguisher ice cream for dessert. Held on the first of April at the central Hove venue, this is one you won't want to miss.

Brighton and Hove Restaurant Week is your chance to taste the finest of dishes at an extremely low price. At least 15 eateries will offer discount lunch and dinner menus so you can check out all the finest dishes available.

Terre a Terre is hosting a unique event which they call Terre a Dare. Diners at the eatery will receive a special fortune cookie containing a dare. Participants are requested to perform the dare (all harmless, kind activities) and post on their Facebook page after completing such dare. Winners chosen will receive a free dinner for two.

Donate to charity at the New Steine Bistro Supper Club. A donation from every ticket sold will go to the Rainbow Fund Charity. Complimentary welcome drinks are awarded to those who come early.

The Churchill Square Live Food Kitchen and Farmer's Market offers demos and workshops for everyone. Famous chefs will be showing you some of their secret tricks and cooking up treats for you to sample. Homemade chutneys and jams will be prepared from fresh local fruits and vegetables.

Wine lovers will not want to miss Celebrate Wine at Hotel du Vin. This is just one of many Brighton Hotels that will be hosting special events. 15 stalls of wine connoisseurs will offer you samples and teach you all you need to know about each one. Cheese and wine matching will teach you the art of serving the perfect cheese alongside your wine and knowing how to please your guests every time.

The Children's Food Festival offers free activities and workshops for children of all ages. There will be food challenges and blind tasting that will introduce your kids to all new tastes and surprises. You may find that they like more things than you originally thought. There will be plenty of hands on activities for the kids to enjoy.
